Smile Together at the BDA Conference and Exhibition 2025

We were delighted to be part of this year’s British Dental Association (BDA) Conference and Exhibition at the NEC Birmingham on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May 2025 on stand Q32 with our huge backdrop proudly displaying our B Corp certification and our iconic beach shoot on Godrevy Beach in Cornwall.

Our vibrant and well-visited stand was hosted by David Bustin (Commercial Manager), Grace Johnson (Marketing and Communications Lead) and Sam Greening (Project Manager) – and we definitely brought the fun and engagement! As always, we were there to showcase our unique business model as an employee-owned CIC and certified B Corporation, and to shine a spotlight on the genuinely rewarding, supported and progressive dental careers we offer across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

📸 Big smiles, buzzer battles and B Corp biscuits!

One of the stars of our stand this year was our Steady Hand Buzz Game, provided by JM Entertainment, it drew huge engagement, with delegates coming back throughout the two days to beat their scores and check out the leaderboard.

We also ran a social media competition with our giant Instagram selfie frame and Polaroid camera where visitors could snap a pic, share it to their socials and be entered into a draw to win a one-night staycation at The Cornwall Hotel & Spa.

This year we had some fab freebies from our “Grow your career with us” seed packs, to colleague-quote postcards, and our delicious new addition: B Corp biscuits handmade by Honeywell Bakes!

We also enjoyed celebrating National Smile Month with our Oral Health Foundation smileys!

🦷 Conversations that matter

We loved talking to delegates about what makes working with Smile Together so special. Grace Johnson, Marketing and Communications Lead, said:

“It was so enjoyable chatting to people genuinely interested in the opportunities we offer in Cornwall. So many were surprised that you can earn just as well and develop your career just as much – if not more – while enjoying a life by the coast. It was refreshing to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm for what we do.”

💬 More than just a stand

We’re excited by the conversations we had, the new connections made, and the continued interest in what we’re building at Smile Together. Whether it’s our commitment to community dentistry, our flexible and supported career paths, or our bold vision for the future – it was clear we’re striking a chord with people across the profession.

We hope everyone left with a smile, a seed packet, and a sense of how exciting a career in Cornwall could be!
