David Bustin

Commercial Manager

I first joined Smile Together in January 2017 as the Brighter Dental Area Manager, where I was responsible for developing and enhancing the routine dental services within our various locations. This role gave me invaluable experience in overseeing operational growth, ensuring a high standard of care, and driving service improvements.

With a passion for the operational aspects of the business, I progressed to Operations Manager, expanding my remit to manage non-referral based services across the wider business. This role allowed me to gain broader insights into the organisation’s dynamics and foster collaboration across different teams to meet our shared goals. This included developing our reporting framework for all services within the business.

In April 2022, I left Smile Together, expanding my career and industry experience within other practices and small groups in the Southwest, returning in June 2024 to take on the position of Commercial Manager. In this current role, I focus on the commercial aspects of the business, working to ensure sustainable growth and maintaining our commitment to providing exceptional dental care.

Throughout my journey with Smile Together, I’ve always found the company to be an inspiring and people-focused environment, where enabling our teams to thrive, both professionally and personally, is at the heart of everything we do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young family. We love exploring different locations on our walks and making the most of our garden when the weather permits.
