Inlays and onlays
Durable restorations used to repair decayed or damaged teeth when a filling isn’t enough.
Overview
Inlays & Onlays in Cornwall
An Onlay is very similar only it is slightly larger and sits over larger chewing surfaces.
Inlays and Onlays can be made from an alloy metal or ceramic, both of which are tooth-coloured so as to blend with the natural colour of your teeth.
This does involve two to three appointments as the treatment is tailored to the individual, with impressions taken and sent to a lab where a custom Inlay or Onlay is made for you so that it fits perfectly. Depending on the size of the cavity you may need to be numbed around the tooth with local anaesthetic to ensure you are comfortable throughout the procedure.

Notice
Please be aware that we will require a deposit when you book an appointment – this will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment at your next visit.
Booking an appointment
We understand that unexpected situations can arise, so your deposit will not be affected if you change your appointment with more than 24 hours’ notice. While we aim to be as flexible as possible, we reserve the right to retain your deposit for late cancellations or late arrivals that prevent us from seeing you. Short-notice cancellations make it difficult for us to offer care to other patients, increase waiting times, and raise the cost of running the surgery. We will, however, always consider personal circumstances.
