Teeth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. It cannot make a complete colour change, but it may lighten the existing shade and the results can be quite dramatic.

Here at Smile Together you can expect an initial consultation with a dentist or dental therapist to ensure that you are a suitable candidate for teeth whitening. Your dentist or dental therapist will then take impressions of your teeth to make your custom bleaching trays. These fit over your teeth to hold the whitening gel in place  during your course of treatment – it’s important that they fit properly as the gel needs to stay on your teeth, not your gums.

At your subsequent appointment your dentist or dental therapist will then give you your bleaching trays and your home bleaching kit with full guidance and instructions of how to use your kit to get the most effective results. You will be monitored over the coming weeks until you have completed your home kit and are happy with the result.

You can also access purchase top-up bleaching kits to maintain your new level of whitening.

Please be aware that we will require a deposit when you book an appointment - this will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment at your next visit. We understand that things sometimes come up, so your deposit will not be affected if you alter your appointment with over 24 hours' notice. We will always be as flexible as possible with you but reserve the right to retain your deposit in case of late cancellations (any cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice) or late arrivals which result in us not being able to see you (for example, arriving c:15 minutes late for a 20-30 minute appointment). It is very difficult for us to offer care to other patients if little notice is given. Loss of opportunity to treat patients in need increases the waiting times for appointments and the cost to run the surgery. We will always try to be sensitive to personal circumstances in the event of late cancellations.
