Smile Together proudly won the prestigious Business Finance Award at a glittering awards evening on 30th June 2022.
Fantastic recognition of the £1m social investment from Big Issue Invest to help us realise our ambition to refurbish a former grammar school in Bodmin, much-loved in the local community, into a purpose-designed accessible dental centre with facilities previously unavailable in the county. Our thanks also to Cornwall-based Resonance Ltd for helping us become investment ready.
The judges recognised the significance of the investment alongside the impact generated as a consequence, both commercially and in terms of our community impact, as you can hear here.
We enjoyed a great evening at St Mellion Golf and Country Club celebrating Cornwall’s brightest and best businesses for 2022, with guest presenter Ben Fogle who inspired us with his intrepid adventures.
To win, indeed be in the top three out of hundreds of entries in a record year for the awards, is testament to the extraordinary contribution of our fantastic team delivering the highest levels of patient care and tackling oral health inequality across Cornish communities.
We were also a proud finalist in Business with Purpose, pipped to the win by Boost Innovations, a worthy contender. The full list of winners can be seen here and we couldn’t be more delighted to be in the mix!
