We’re so excited to be shortlisted as one of just three finalists in two categories of The Cornwall Business Awards 2022.
To have made it to the top three out of hundreds of entries in a record year for the awards is testament to the extraordinary contribution of our fantastic team. Together they have resolutely delivered the highest levels of patient care alongside outstanding initiatives aimed at tackling oral health inequality across Cornish communities, despite the challenges presented by the pandemic.
In addition, as an aspiring B Corporation, we’re committed to becoming a more sustainable dental provider, to better balance our social and environmental impact.
Smile Together is therefore very proud to be a shortlisted finalist in the Business with a Purpose category and also the Business Finance Award which celebrates our achievement in securing £1m social investment funding from Big Issue Invest to support an accessible dental centre at Harleigh Road, Bodmin – the site of a former much-loved grammar school.
In a live Facebook announcement on 5th May 2022, the team representing Cornwall Business Awards and Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth & Skills Hub said the judges were ‘especially impressed by our compelling vision and mission… excellent financial business plan, brilliantly executed and passionately explained’.
We’ll now be invited to present at the Awards Showdown Day on 17th June after which winners will be picked for each category, with an awards ceremony on 30th June at St Mellion with guest presenter Ben Fogle.
