We are thrilled to introduce our new 100% electric van. As an employee-owned CIC and certified B Corporation, we want to make a sustainable difference for our patients, our communities and our planet. We are proud of our exemplary track record in social impact and our B Corporation certification has inspired us to better balance this with environmental impact. To consider ‘people, planet, profit’ in all that we do.

Our new fully electric decon/courier van is therefore a great addition alongside our hybrid Brighter Smiles car.

Thanks to Fuel and No2TheSame, our EV van and hybrid car are very clearly branded Smile Together, matching our mobile dental unit that we acquired earlier this year. You definitely won’t miss us out and about!

Holly Jones, Purchasing Specialist at Smile Together, was paramount in procuring our electric van and explains: “After so many months of trying to source a fully electric vehicle that would meet our specification, I am so thrilled to have sourced this new electric van. It was definitely worth the wait and a big thanks to Dan at Yeomans Citroen Exeter for being so accommodating. We are always looking to make sustainable eco switches and it’s so good to know that we are doing all that we can to improve our environmental impact.”

Holly continues: “We partner with those in our supply chain to, wherever possible, source and procure more sustainably and colleagues are proactively encouraged to consider any sustainable changes where they work, with any local successes rolled out across the whole company for maximum impact. We recognise that there is much more for us to do but this is a great milestone for Smile Together.”

This is just the latest in a number of other sustainable developments at Smile Together which includes the installation of EV charger units at our Harleigh Road Dental Centre in Bodmin where we’re also locked into a three-year green electricity deal.
