I joined Smile Together Dental in 2007 as a Dental Nurse, gaining experience across Urgent Dental Care, Special Care, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery in Newquay. My interest in patient support led me to qualify as an Oral Health Educator, inspired by my work in Orthodontics.

Following a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (Hypermobility type), I moved away from clinical practice and briefly worked in the call handling team before transitioning into Information Governance and Clinical Administration, where I applied my clinical knowledge alongside supporting HR-related tasks.

After stepping into a Systems Administrator role, I developed my skills in IT, contributing to the department’s growth. I now work as Business and Performance Lead, overseeing and analysing data for NHS, ICB, and internal reporting. I also manage Dentally, our patient management system, driving improvements and supporting service development.

My career journey reflects Smile Together’s commitment to recognising individual strengths and supporting progression within the organisation. I have greatly enjoyed working for Smile Together and watching how the company has evolved and adapted over time.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, our furbabies, and catching up with family and friends. I’m also quite creative and enjoy making handmade cards and personalised gifts, which allows me to relax and express my artistic side.
