We were so excited to be exhibiting at the BDIA Dental Showcase at London ExCel in March this year – attending our first prestigious national event for two years!

We were there promoting the unique and rewarding career opportunities in our employee-owned dental CIC and showcasing the extraordinary environment and work life balance that we enjoy here in Cornwall. A truly authentic showcase too using images that were shared with us by our colleagues of the things they enjoy with their friends and family, alongside their work on behalf of our patients, our communities and one another – it was certainly a talking point with all those who visited our stand.

The opportunities here for rewarding careers alongside a unique work life balance are fantastic – visit our Careers Portal to find out more, register for our monthly e-newsletter or simply contact us for an informal chat!

So many people visited our stand C78 which was hard to miss as it was bright, colourful and included a 7ft surfboard which had been awesomely wrapped by No 2 The Same Signs! Big thanks to the creative genius of our long-term partners Fuel Communications who pulled out all the stops to meet our deadlines in advance of the show.

Our visitors also enjoyed tucking into saffron buns from Warrens Bakery and fudge from the Cornish Fudge Company!

Congratulations to the winners of our prize draw who were delighted to win either a £200 voucher for dinner at one of Rick Stein’s restaurants or a bottle of Camel Valley Vineyard’s finest fizz!

Every day our dentists, dental therapists and dental nurses make a real difference to local people and support a range of impactful outreach projects that we run in our local communities, working alongside our enthusiastic professional support colleagues. We really do have an amazing team!

From delivering our Brighter Smiles oral health programme in primary schools and nurseries and visiting harboursides in a Smiles At Sea mobile dental unit to treat fishermen who rarely visit a dentist due to the demands of their work, to supporting Cornwall Health for Homeless pop-ups and donating oral health packs to local charities best positioned to reach those families and individuals most in need across the county. As an aspiring B Corporation, we’re also better balancing our social and environmental impact.

Complementing all this, our focus on training and CPD means Smile Together is a great place to work and develop your dental career, utilising your full range of dental skills and experience. Don’t just take our word for it – see what our colleagues say here!

We’re proud to be employee-owned – a sector which is positively thriving in the UK because co-owned companies tend to be more successful, competitive, profitable and sustainable. Our people are innovative, engaged and committed because we go out of our way to consult, share information about the company, and give you responsibility. This, combined with being a community interest company, means the difference we individually and collectively make is unrivalled.
