Update on Dental Services – Isles of Scilly

Our current dentist has left the Isles of Scilly practice, and we are actively recruiting a replacement. Letters have been sent to our most recent patients, and we’ve informed key partners and organisations about these changes.

In the meantime, we are providing locum cover to support continued access to care, including urgent and ongoing treatment appointments. Patients should continue to contact the practice as usual — our reception team is available to assist with all enquiries and bookings.

There is no change to our orthodontic provision — clinics will continue as scheduled.

We’re committed to maintaining dental services on the islands and are working hard to ensure a smooth transition.

Dental appointments can only be booked via telephone, we do not provide a ‘walk-in’ service. Our care is provided by appointment only and patients are kindly asked to not attend the practice hoping to be seen immediately. There is no access to the dental team via the hospital reception.

Please be aware that we will require a deposit when you book an appointment for routine and private dental care – this will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment at your next visit. Please see our specific service pages for more details.

Our dentist and nurse provide urgent/emergency care for residents and Island visitors and some general NHS and private provision for residents but not the full range of NHS dental care.
